Jaffna-Inuvil Public Library community center reading hall inaugurated in a grand way (Photos)



In Jaffna-Inuvil Public Library community center, a reading hall constructed in memory of Mrs. Annaletchumi Chinnarajah by spending many lakhs of rupees was inaugurated last Monday afternoon around 3 PM. In this event S. Sivashankar chaired and Jaffna universtity-Department of higher studies Dean Prof. S. Sathyaseelan participated as a chief guest. Experienced media person Maravanpulavu K. Sachithanandan, Additional director of Education for northern province Muthu Radhakrishnan and engineer I. Thayaparan participated as special guests.


Honorary guests were Technical Officer M. Ragupathy, London senior member K. Manickavasagar. All the guest have been garlanded from Inuvil Pararajasekara Pillaiyar temple, and were invited to the funcion hall where they lit the lamp for inauguration.The reading hall building was inaugurated by Retired teacher N. Chinnaraja by making the name board of the building visible.


Gracious speech was given by Sivashri V. Somaskanada Gurukkal and great orator Kalanithi Aaru Thirumumurugan. Appreciation speech and greetings were given by Jaffina University – Tamil department principal and professor S. Sivalingarajah, Jaffina University – Head of department of Maths I. Vigneswaran, Senior Lecturuer for English K. Shriganesan and the Editor of Valampuri magazine N. Vijayasundaram. Inauguration speech was given by Jaffina University – Head of the department of Commerce Prof. K. Devarajah.


After that a special souvenir for inauguration of the building was released. The president of Anna Industrials P. Natarajah released the souvenir and the first copy was received by Inuvil Public library senior member T. Sivarajah. This was followed by giving away of special copies of the book. The book release speech was given by Senior Lecturer E. Kumaran.


This was followed by honouring of the funding sponsors Chinnarajah and family with golden shawls and mementos. Employees who did great service for the public library were also honoured. There were several academicians, well wishers and many others participated in the event.
