The move to bring students stranded abroad is completed

The Presidential Secretariat has announced that the return of 80 Sri Lankan students from the Philippines to the country will be completed soon.

Admiral Jayanath Colombage, Additional Secretary to the President’s Foreign Relations, said that 250 out of 80 students will be brought back from the Philippines tomorrow (Thursday).

He added that if all 80 of them return home, all Sri Lankan students stranded in the country will be brought back to the country.

Meanwhile, Admiral Jayanath Colombage said that 250 students who are currently engaged in learning activities in Belarus will return to the country by next month.

The students are currently sitting the exams and are scheduled to be called next month, he said.
